I just love seeing our whole team making a difference every single day. Families and the community see it, too, on social media. It’s giving everyone hope during these challenging times — it gives me hope.
I have so much respect and admiration for seniors, so it’s something that makes me feel fulfilled when I’m able to serve them, as they did for me when I was younger. Food brings people together, and I love watching them smile and laugh with each other in the dining room.
I love coming to work every day to put smiles on the faces of my residents and coworkers and making them happy.
A lot of good happens here. That’s why I’m still here.
The best part of my job is helping someone find a home to call their own. I love watching residents grow within our communities. Hearing the laughter and seeing the smiles of residents just warms my heart to the fullest.
I appreciate the rest of my life enrichment team and really enjoy meeting the residents and hearing their stories. I think about my grandma who lived in assisted living when she passed and how much she looked forward to the daily activities. I realized that I could make that thing, or host that event, or play that simple game with someone and totally make their day.
I love assisting immigrants in their new life in the U.S. I feel I make an imprint on their lives when I hear declarations of their gratitude. This inspires me to be diligent in tasks bestowed upon me. I feel honored to be part of PHS.
I try to be an example and inspire the residents here, that when you get up in the morning just be determined that you’re going to be happy. I also want to help make life meaningful for people so that they know they are cared for and loved. Presbyterian Homes makes my life meaningful by giving me a job that I absolutely love.
Prayers and StandUP were so helpful when I first started working. I had a hard time when a resident died. I was so close to them I didn’t know what to do with my heartache. StandUP and the Lord’s word being spoken over us is a gift.
At PHS you are truly a part of a community, you are not a number. The CEO knows me by name and genuinely cares and the Campus Administrator steps in to help whenever possible.
Why I stayed at PHS? I’m not going to lie, it hasn’t always been easy, especially through Covid. I stayed because I had wonderful, hard-working, fun-loving teams and volunteers both at Lake Minnetonka Shores and now here at Beacon Hill who shared the goal of enriching people’s lives and providing meaningful opportunities.
I love caregiving. I love working here, I love what I do and I love the people here. My motto is ‘I was born to serve’ and that’s what I do.
I’m grateful for Mill Pond: I feel the love from my coworkers as we work as a team. The residents are our inspiration. Above all, I thank God for the opportunity to honor him by serving those entrusted to my care.
We have an amazing team at Maranatha! Not only do we work towards cultivating an environment of teamwork, but staff truly love what they do and they look out for each other and the residents. Help is always available when it’s needed, and the team does a great job communicating with each other to ensure residents receive quality care. I’m truly humbled to have the pleasure of working with such a dedicated and passionate group of professionals.”
The first time I entered Timber Hills, it felt so much like home. There’s this comfort, warmth and peace that you feel. And from my first day, it didn’t feel like a job.
