We are pleased to announce that we will soon break ground on our first partnered project with Wesley Homes in the Seattle Washington area.

Wesley at Tehaleh will be the fourth Wesley senior living community in the region but the first jointly owned and managed by Wesley and PHS.

Designed by Cuningham Group Architecture and constructed by Ryan Companies, Wesley at Tehaleh will be located on 16.8 acres of land surrounded by a trail system with tree-lined walking and biking paths connecting the site to the larger Tehaleh development in Bonney Lake, Washington. With plans to break ground in September, the new community will include two buildings: The Lodge and The Brownstones. The Lodge will feature 136 independent living apartments, 42 catered living apartments and 18 memory care suites. The Brownstones will offer an additional 32 independent living apartments. The project is being financed by Hamlin Capital Management.

The collaboration between Wesley Homes and PHS was formed based on aligned values and goals, with a focus on creating an atmosphere for seniors to thrive in a modern community and among nature. Wesley began collaborating with PHS in 2005, when PHS’s Senior Housing Partners (SHP) team developed the Lea Hill community in Auburn, WA. Additional projects followed in subsequent years, most recently the repositioning of Wesley’s Des Moines, WA, campus and the construction of Wesley Bradley Park in Puyallup, WA.

“Wesley is excited to join its long time development partner, PHS, in bringing an innovative new community to the vibrant Tehaleh neighborhood,” said Kevin Anderson, President and CEO, Wesley Homes.

Jon Fletcher, Vice President of SHP added, “With the increasing number of families living at Tehaleh, there is a strong need for the housing and care services that we and Wesley provide. Our shared ministry with Wesley is an opportunity for both organizations to expand our mission of service to others.”

The Wesley at Tehaleh community will feature a timeless Pacific Northwest modern style with a thoughtfully landscaped environment. The building design features a bistro, dining options, a chapel, wellness center, fitness room, theatre, craft room, library, club room, patio, pickle ball court and a pond. Among the many amenities available, residents will enjoy views of Mount Rainier, access to numerous trails and a 24,000 square-foot town center within the community.
